Following on from the success at the 2018 Nationals, the Queenstown Robostormers are very proud to have been invited to compete in the FIRST LEGO League Asia-Pacific Invitational at Macquarie University in Sydney.
We have kept working on our robotics right through the summer to make sure we already to take on the best 47 teams in the world from 25 countries. This time round we are stepping up the robot and using a gear meshing system together with light sensor triggered code selection. Many thanks to our friendly rivals, the Referees, for sharing their ideas and wisdom with us.
Our other team preparations so far have also involved working on field experiments for our research project and learning Kaha Haka for the tournament cultural evening.
